Srinagar, May 02 (KNO): The parents, who have enrolled their wards in different educational institutions in Iran, can now directly transfer the student tuition fee through UCO Bank. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Ministry has officially approved the transfer of student tuition fees to Iran through UCO Bank. “This important development now enables students to legally and securely send their tuition fees to Iranian universities using the official banking channel provided by UCO Bank,” said officials. This breakthrough is the result of two years of continuous efforts and coordination with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi, the officials said. “During the past over two years, we worked diligently to address the legal, financial and diplomatic aspects of the process. Our sincere gratitude goes to the Ambassador of Iran, whose guidance, support and active involvement played a vital role in facilitating communication with the relevant authorities and obtaining the necessary approvals,” the officials said. “With this new channel in place, students and their families can now avoid unofficial or risky methods of fee transfer. The process through UCO Bank ensures transparency, legal compliance, and peace of mind for all parties involved.” “We remain committed to supporting students in their educational journey and will continue to work towards simplifying and improving procedures that affect their academic progress,” the officials said—(KNO)
